God of War recorded a peak of 73,529 concurrent players on Steam on Sunday beating Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone all-time peak of 56,557 and 27,450 concurrent players respectively.
The PC edition of the 2018 action-adventure game God of War which released last Friday has become the biggest PC release by Sony Interactive Entertainment beating out its previous games including Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone.
The game has also received 96.99% positive reviews on Steam out of over 15,000 reviews so far. God of War also topped the Steam Weekly Global Top Sellers for the week ending January 16 beating out Monster Hunter Rise, Ready or Not and the upcoming game Elden Ring.
However, while these figures are just limited to the game's Steam release, the total sales will be much bigger considering the Epic Games Store release and the physical edition of the game. The game which was released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive release four years ago had managed to sell nearly 20 million copies as of August 2021.
The PC edition of the God of War costs Rs 3,299 on Steam while the PlayStation 4 edition costs Rs 1,499 and the Digital Deluxe PS4 edition costs Rs 1,199.
Meanwhile, developers Santa Monica Studio will be releasing the latest addition to the God of War game series God of War: Ragnarök sometime this year.
Meanwhile, Sony last month announced that it was planning to release Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC that includes its PS4 exclusives Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
